Here is a video for anyone picking up nucleus colonies next weekend. A quick look at transferring a nucleus colony into a full-size hive: 1. Leave the nuc box in its permanent location for a few hours up to a couple of days to allow the bees to orient to their new surroundings. 2. Transfer the frames from the nuc, one by one, into the center of the new hive box. 3. Once all five nuc frames are in the new box, add additional empty frames on the outside to provide space for the colony to expand. 4
