In 1996, Massive Attack performed ‘Unfinished Sympathy’ with an orchestra at the Phoenix Festival 🙌 The Bristol outfit released the groundbreaking ballad in 1991 under the temporary group name Massive. Written by Robert ‘3D’ Del Naja, Andrew ‘Mushroom’ Vowles and Grant ‘Daddy G’ Marshall, it features lyrics from vocalist Shara Nelson string arrangements from Wil Malone, and was co-produced by Jonathan ‘Jonny Dollar’ Sharp. The track was born out of a jam session between the artists, with its ti
