Exploring the inside of the Bent Pyramid. This is Pharaoh Sneferu's pyramid in Dahshur, Egypt built in 2600 BC. It's recently been opened up to the public for the first time since 1965 and not alot of people are aware of this yet, so we had the whole pyramid to ourselves! The reason it's "bent" is because part of the way through construction of the 56° angle was too steep and risked collapse, so they corrected to a 43° angle which was more stable. It was insane to explore the tunnels and passage
